First setup

The first three steps are forced: the app shows you nothing else until you’ve signed in, set a password if you were invited, and subscribed. The rest is what the first call depends on. Each step links to the page that documents it.

Open Dialer Admin in the sidebar of the sub-account you’ll be dialing from. The card has two tabs, Sign in and Create account; creating one asks for Company name, Your name, Email and a Password (8+ characters). It’s the only screen that offers Create account: Dialer Logs and the dialer bar sign in only, so everyone after you is invited rather than signing themselves up.

2. Set your own password, if you were invited

Section titled “2. Set your own password, if you were invited”

An invited member signs in with the temporary password their admin gave them, and lands on Set your password before anything else is reachable: 8 characters or more, confirmed, then Set password & continue.

Set Agent seats — one per person on your team; the field won’t accept fewer than your plan’s minimum. The card quotes your price per seat and the total it comes to. Subscribe opens checkout in a new tab; this tab moves on by itself once the payment lands, and I’ve completed checkout — refresh is there if it doesn’t. The card’s footnote reads “Checkout opens in a new tab. Your first month is charged today; cancel anytime.”

The first time a paying admin opens the configuration screens, the app asks Connect this sub-account?, naming the one you’re currently in; confirm with Connect sub-account. The dialog spells out the stakes — “This can’t be undone without contacting support.” — and lists what gets bound to it: your lists, vendor leads, do-not-call entries and campaign contacts. Dismiss it and a banner takes its place: This dialer account isn’t connected to a GoHighLevel sub-account yet. Campaigns can’t run until it is.

Go to Admin → Settings → Calling and search the Calling presence box by city, state or area code; Current: reads Not set until you pick one. Choosing a city buys nothing — it sets the area code the number search starts from when you buy an agent a number. If yours isn’t listed, pick the nearest city in the same area code. See Calling.

Admin → Users → Invite user takes a Name, an Email and a RoleAgent or Admin. A Temporary password is shown once: emailed if email is configured, otherwise Copy it and pass it on before it expires in 7 days. An invite occupies a seat from the moment you press Send invite, and it’s refused outright if you have no seat left — or no number credit left to buy that person a number with. See Users.

On Admin → Numbers → Users, anyone without a number of their own carries an Assign number button — and once they’ve set their own password and gone active, an amber No DID (“no direct number”) badge as well. Assign number opens a number search pre-filled with your calling city’s area code, and what you buy becomes that member’s direct line: their caller ID on outbound, and the number that rings them on inbound. See Numbers → Users.

8. Buy the numbers your campaigns dial from

Section titled “8. Buy the numbers your campaigns dial from”

Campaigns dial from their own numbers, not from agents’. On Admin → Numbers → Outbound Pool, Buy Number offers Buy one number or Build pool coverage — several spread evenly across a state. That pool is what outbound campaigns call from. Numbers that receive calls are bought on the Shared tab. Every number you own — agent, pool, shared or vendor — spends one of your number credits, counted in the strip above the list as N of M number credits in use. Remove hands a number back and frees its credit — and the confirm says what that means: “This can’t be undone.” See Outbound Pool and Shared.

Admin → Contacts → Lists → New list opens a short form — a List name and an optional Description — and Create list makes it, empty. You fill it from GoHighLevel’s own contacts screens: tick contacts and press Add to List, or Link smartlist to bind a whole smartlist that keeps itself in sync. See Lists.

Admin → Campaigns → New campaign asks only for a name and a type. Tick the agents who may work it on General and the lists that feed it on Outbound, then press Save changes once — one button commits every tab. A campaign with no list has nothing to dial. See Campaigns.

The agent clicks Dialer in their sidebar, presses Sign in, and opens Select campaign — which lists only campaigns they’re assigned to. Go Ready puts them in line. See Dialer.
