Installing
Helix Dialer is installed once, by your agency, and switched on for the sub-accounts you choose. There’s nothing for an agent to install and nothing to add to a website.
Who does the install
Section titled “Who does the install”Someone with access to your GoHighLevel agency. Install Helix Dialer from the GoHighLevel marketplace into your agency, and approve it for the sub-accounts that will use it.
The page you land on
Section titled “The page you land on”When the install finishes you get a page headed Helix Dialer is connected, naming the sub-account (or the number of sub-accounts) you selected, and telling you that you can close the tab. Under Next: turn it on for your team it gives you the three steps: go back to GoHighLevel and open the sub-account, open Dialer Admin to add agents, numbers and campaigns, then have agents open Dialer to start taking calls. It also says the thing worth hearing early — “Nothing dials yet — an agent needs a seat and a phone number before the first call.”
Running the install again later, or approving new permissions, gives you Helix Dialer is reconnected instead: your agents, numbers and campaigns are unchanged, and calls in progress aren’t interrupted.
If the connection fails you get That connection didn’t complete, which tells you nothing was changed in your GoHighLevel account and offers Try connecting again. Every one of these pages carries a collapsed Technical details (for support) section. You never need to open it unless support asks.
What appears in GoHighLevel
Section titled “What appears in GoHighLevel”Each approved sub-account’s left sidebar gains three items:
| Item | Who sees it | What it opens |
|---|---|---|
| Dialer | Everyone | The dialer bar — see Dialer |
| Dialer Admin | Admins only | The configuration screens — see Admin |
| Dialer Logs | Everyone | Call history — see Logs |
They’re sub-account items: they appear inside a sub-account, not in the agency-level view. All three open inside GoHighLevel rather than in a new tab, which is what keeps a user signed in as they move between them.
Where the dialer bar appears
Section titled “Where the dialer bar appears”The bar is hidden until someone clicks Dialer. It then opens docked into GoHighLevel’s own top header, in the empty space to the left of the header’s controls, and it stays mounted as the user moves around GoHighLevel — a call in progress survives navigating from a contact to a conversation to a dashboard. On a screen with no header, it floats near the bottom of the window instead, and can be dragged by the grip on its left.
Buttons added to GoHighLevel’s own screens
Section titled “Buttons added to GoHighLevel’s own screens”Installing also adds a few controls to GoHighLevel screens themselves:
| Control | Where it is | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Call with Helix Dialer | The Helix mark in a conversation’s row of action icons, and in a contact row’s phone cell when you hover the row | Dials that contact through the dialer |
| Add to List | The bulk-action bar that appears once you tick contacts, beside Select all | Adds the contacts you’ve ticked to a Helix Dialer list |
| Link smartlist | The list’s own toolbar, beside Sort — no selection needed | Links the whole smartlist you’re looking at as a list that keeps itself in sync |
Nothing dials yet. Go to First setup for the path from a fresh account to a campaign an agent can work.
